What a wonderful couple of weeks it has been. Sean had just over a week of school off, so we headed out west to enjoy the desert heat, which was surprisingly not that hot! Honestly, it was more enjoyable than the weather here in Ohio! But that’s beside the point. On Saturday we hung out with Nana and Grandpa (Sean’s parents), Cheryl and Scott, and their kids, Ty, Kaycie, and Kendall, and had a marvelous time. We rode on Scott and Ty’s ATVs, played with the dogs, and roasted marshmallows in the backyard. We couldn’t have asked for a better beginning to our vacation.
Anika and her cousin Kaycie. So cute!
Nana and Grandpa with the girls.
The girls LOVED the ATVs.
After a little Arizona time, we took off to San Diego to spend a week with the Cordners. We did everything from Sea World to swimming to Disneyland to the beach. We couldn’t have asked for better weather. It was a nearly perfect week.
Watching the whales at Sea World with Grandpa.
The highlight of the trip was Disneyland. Anika is in the middle of the Princess Stage of life. She knows every single Disney princess, and she loves them all. We splurged and had lunch at Arielle’s Grotto which is a nice restaurant in California Adventures where the princesses come to the table and meet the little girls. Anika was in HEAVEN. The sad part of the week is that the pictures of her with the princesses didn’t turn out well at all. Very sad. But we have some fun memories! This picture was taken just after lunch.
Cinderella!!!
Spinning on the Teacups!
Anika and Kaycie had so much fun going on the rides together.
The beach was pretty fabulous too. We weren’t exactly dressed to play in the water, but Anika didn’t care. It was kind of cold, but we still had a great time.
Sean and I got to go back to Disneyland for an “Adults Only” day. Mom and Dad watched the girls (THANK YOU) so that Sean and I could go with my Kyle, Natalee, and Keri. It was a great day.
Aw… Cute siblings. We’re just missing Ty and Tara.
We did a little bit of swimming on the last day to end off with a bang. And that we did. I’ll try and add a few videos as well. These kids are pretty cute!
Okay, I can’t figure out how to put videos up on here. I’ve done it before, but it doesn’t want to work for me now! I’ll try and get them up later on when Sean can help me. All in all, we had a fabulous week. Thanks Mom and Dad for planning this vacation around Sean’s break! We really did have a great time!
aww... that looks like it was the best! I'm glad you had fun! Keri was telling me that when we are all married we are all going to go to Disneyland together! That will be a fun day! Miss you tons!
