I’m trying to be patient…

I’ll admit that I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. If I don’t get my full 8 hours of sleep, I’m just not a happy person! I’m working on it. However, I completely expected that today would be an easy-going kind of day. We don’t have any place to go, the house is clean, it’s gorgeous outside. Why is it that “perfect” days always get disrupted?…

IMG_1893 IMG_1894IMG_1895Beautiful artwork, Avery, beautiful. It would be one thing if she had used the washable markers that are hidden in the desk drawer. She didn’t find those ones. She found the dry-erase markers that are supposed to be on top of the high bookshelf. Awesome. I’ve used up a whole bottle of rubbing alcohol to get it out. Well, it’s still not really close to being “out.” Is it bed time yet?!?!?!

  1. Oh boy! Sounds like you need to check out the song by Hilary Weeks titled "My Favorite Things." You can find it on YouTube. I must admit it runs through my head almost constantly these days... :) On the bright side, Avery might just support you in your old age with her impressive art skills. You never know!

  3. BUMMER! I wish I had a great suggestion of how to get it out. Little stink, but she still looks so cute in the pictures!

  4. Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! Those days are the worst! Have you tried spraying some aerosol hairspray on it, then wiping it up with water? I know it sounds random, but it works most of the time. Hallie got pen on the couch and that's how we got it out. It might be worth a shot. Hope you have a better day. :)

  10. Oh my gosh...I would have freaked!!! Breathe...Breathe...Breathe... I'm all worked up about it, and she's not even my kid. I'm sure you handled it better than I would have. Luke just spilled half a bottle of finger nail polish on my carpet yesterday. Let's just say I wasn't a happy momma!
