Last Thursday night, after Ohio’s Halloween, we knelt down as a family for our nightly family prayer. It was Anika’s turn. She offers up the most beautiful and sincere prayers. They truly touch my heart. In the middle of this particular prayer came these words… “Thanks for Halloween. Bless that we can wake up in the morning and try it again.” It took all of my energy trying to suppress the laughter.
It’s been over a week since we celebrated Halloween, but still, every single night, when it starts getting dark, Anika says to me, “Mommy! The sun is going to sleep! TIME FOR HALLOWEEN!!!” She is too cute. I just love my Anika to death.
What a cute story! Anika is darling. And Avery. You have the most adorable little girls!
ReplyDeleteSo cute... if only the boys would follow her fine example. Well Michael's prayers are sincere and appropriate it's Josh's little clone Andrew that just can't quite seem to get the picture. I left a comment on Jared and Caitlin's blog, it's private so they'll have to e-mail you permission to view it. Isn't it lame (but fun) that we all keep better in touch with each other now that we're a bazillion miles apart?
ReplyDeleteBraxton keeps asking me if we can go trick or treating and I have to keep telling him Halloween is over.
ReplyDeleteThat's so cute! Oh the innocence of kids! On a diffferent subject, your house is AMAZING! We are SO happy for you guys! Can't wait to see pictures of it decorated! Hint, hint :)
